For seven years now, you have watched me. You have dreamt of seducing me, you have woken with a heavy heart and even heavier spirits. You have always been determined to be the one, you have always been trying to save me.

Listen, you cowardly serpent, you can twist yourself around my body all you want, you can delude yourself with visions of me slinking under your sheets, but I do not need saving. I have my sights set on self destruction, and the closer you get, the further I will drag you down with me.

I stand in front of you, but this is temporary. I am elusive and fleeting, I will become a ghost to you. I cannot warn you, for you have this flawless portrait of me painted in your mind, and you foolishly believe you are getting what you have always wanted.

You do not have me, and when I leave, you will writhe in your deepest of torments, wishing you had never wanted me in the first place.

My claws are out and I will spare no one.
